When we decided to get married in New York, our first thought was fear, as planning a wedding in itself is terrifying, but planning one across the country felt down right insane. Immediately we both thought to call Justina. Without hesitation Justina jumped on board, listening to all of our ideas and channeling every thought into a creative response – both verbal and visual. She was able to provide an abundant number of vendors who matched our vision and fielded calls, emails, etc. between us and the vendors. Justina negotiated numerous contracts for us, getting us the best deals, while maintaining the highest quality services and designs. Justina was so knowledgeable about everything from types of flowers, sample designs, wedding and bridesmaid dress examples…even wording on invitations! When the day of the wedding arrived, she was there to run the show. Not only had Justina planned out a “to-the-minute” schedule, but she kept in mind the fact that not only were we important, as the bride and groom, but so were our parents, siblings, and bridal party. When it came down to it, Justina even stepped in and helped my bridesmaids with make-up. The day ran seamlessly and we couldn’t have done any of it without Justina there by our side…the whole way. We cannot say enough amazing things about Justina. At the beginning of the wedding planning process, she really helped us stay with a timeline that minimized wedding planning stress closer to the date. Furthermore, she knew how to translate our ideas into something special and practical for a wedding and also knew how to maintain cohesion between different elements in our wedding, such as the centerpieces and the place cards. Truly, she knew what we wanted even though we couldn't always articulate it ourselves. Justina knows how to translate ideas—no matter how disjointed or vague on the client's part— into something doable and beautiful.
Justina helped in so many ways. Some memorable tasks included helping us research the best type of confetti to use at our venue. She had a lot of practical considerations about how to best distribute confetti to guests in a quick way and how the space should be set up to maximize photo opportunities. In addition, she helped me (Jess) pick out the best type of lipstick for my skin and for the season. Lastly, she created beautiful escort table frames that were original and really maintained our vision; her skills in graphic design as well as her attentiveness made this feature at our wedding very memorable—something guests still talk about.
On the day of our wedding itself, she was ready for anything. She helped all our vendors get situated and was able to relay to them our vision for the wedding. She was also a great trouble-shooter and resolved last-minute issues very quickly and efficiently without our even knowing about it.
In a word, Justina is incredible. We put full trust in Justina to help us plan the wedding as well as coordinate the events of the day itself. She has an innate skill in event planning, decor, and communication that cannot be beat.
